Obi-Wan is entitled to his privacy. It isn't a matter of trust, but a matter of respecting the fact that there are things he doesn't want to speak about.
The correct response isn't to try and drag an answer out of him, but to stand back and let him know that when he is ready to share, you will be there to listen.
