It does make things a bit awkward it’s true. Makes it hard to get closer to him as he has literal barriers surrounding him. Obi-Wan and Luke, obviously, still care about him regardless. But even so…
“So do I,” he says quietly with a small frown.
“But enough about him. I want to hear more about you.”
"But we share a bed and bedroom more often than not now. I hadn't realised how much I miss sleeping with other people there, waking up and hearing breaths and the sounds of life around me." Despite his upbringing, Luke is naturally a fairly social person, he enjoys having people around him.
"I'm still working at the garage. We're working on getting the beach house up and liveable." He colours slightly, looking pleased. "I'm still seeing Cal. We've become quite attuned to each other. Someone- said some things that really hurt me, upset me, and he felt it and came looking for me."
Hearing that makes Obi-Wan’s expression soften. Glad to hear that Luke was getting some happiness here. That he and Din were meeting each other’s needs as best they can. It made him feel he didn’t need to worry. They would be fine even if he disappeared again. “For me it has been an acquired taste,” he said with a chuckle. He didn’t often sleep with others. Anakin being an exception in an innocent manor. But now he’s gotten used to it here and found he also enjoyed it.
At the mention of still seeing Cal though, Obi-Wan brightened with interest. “Really? You two must have quite the bond then. Good. I’m proud of you both.”
"There's also... there's less Force sensitives than there were these days. Ben and Rey are gone, I felt when they vanished." Aware of it, but with no real feelings about it. He spoke to each a single time in text. "And Finn. I did meet him, he was a nice young man."
Selfishly, Luke hopes they're gone because the horror future they came from has changed. But he just doesn't know.
Obi-Wan listens while nodding in understanding. He didn’t really feel much about those two leaving because like Luke he had only spoken with them once each. “Finn? I don’t know him.” He had never met him, didn’t even know he existed.
As they walk, Obi-Wan shudders against the cold as a wind blows past. The Jedi pulling his cloak around himself even more. It will take awhile to get used to this after being on Tatooine for months.
"I didn't know him well. We went through a funhouse together, nothing Duplicity weird for once, it was comparatively tame. He was Force sensitive." He had seemed a bit shy, but he was also star struck, which could have accounted for it.
Luke pulls off his own cloak and heaps it on top of Obi-Wan, even if it doesn't fit him. "Yeah, I remember what it was like. Not much further."
Blinking once as Luke drapes his cloak over him, Obi-Wan sighs a bit and pulls it around him too. “Thank you,” he says softly but gratefully.
Luke would know what this was like wouldn’t he? “Anakin would often get cold the first few years I was training him.” A fond note to his voice as he thought back on those good times.
Luke had adjusted quickly. Maybe because of his age at the time, not a child, nineteen and physically strong and healthy. "The shock probably helped in a way, made my system recalibrate itself."
“Ah. Well I suppose something good can come if it.” Though right now he’s just miserable and would like to be someplace warm. He had gotten a bit impatient with Anakin when he had the same struggle. Now he understood. But no matter how impatient he has been, he always relented and let the boy curl up next to him and put his cloak around him. Not unlike what Luke had done just now.
Except Obi-Wan's height makes it more difficult to walk and wrap him up at the same time. Still, they're not that far away now. "Will you be reaching out to Albert?"
"I think you disservice yourself and him with that." Luke gives Obi-Wan and slightly scolding look. "What you had was more than just convenience. Even if he has a contract, that doesn't mean he wouldn't welcome you back in his life."
He gets why Cal doesn't want to have their relationship touched at all by the city's contracts for a moment.
Taking a moment to think about that, Obi-Wan nods slowly. “I suppose you’re right.”
After all, if Jyn ever happened to return, then he would want her back in his life as well. He missed her terribly, and only had to move on because he was forced to. It would be the same for Albert.
[ Albert's expression is tender, still soft from his orgasm, shifting closer so that not only their fingers are knotted together but so he can entangle their legs as well. It really is very enjoyable, just laying close, knowing Obi-Wan is back, is safe. Whatever occured when he was in his own world was obviously harrowing, and Albert won't press him for details. He will however do whatever he can to help Obi-Wan now. ]
I'm glad. I'll arrange things. In a little while, I do not want to leave you just yet. It was rather upsetting, to wake and find you gone.
[Perhaps in time he will talk about it. Right now, however, Obi-Wan just wanted to enjoy being here with Albert. Focusing on that rather than whatever he left behind at home.
With their legs entangled, Obi-Wan pressed a little closer. Taking his free hand to place it on Albert’s cheek affectionately. Blue eyes looking at him with all the adoration he had to give.]
I’m sorry. I know how it feels to be left behind, and if I had the choice, I would have stayed.
[He says it sincerely, almost painfully so as it hurts him to think that Albert had been hurting because of his absence.]
And when you do go, I’ll be here waiting for you just like this. Ready for you when you come back.
[Obi-Wan has all the intention to make up for lost time. Even if it means having sex till they’re both exhausted. He wants him that badly.]
And yet it feels like longer when you've spent months on your own. Luke doesn't want to try and imagine. "We'll get upstairs and I'll get the kettle going. A hot drink will help."
I know it was not your choice, my dear. I don't in any way blame you, nor want you to feel at fault. This was not your doing. I simply meant to express the fact you were missed.
[ And so saying he shifts slightly to press a kiss to the forehead of the other man.]
I hope arranging the contract will be simple enough. It can be done over the communication devices. But not yet, as I said.
[ He can tell that Obi-Wan's desire is not yet sated, and neither is his. Contracts and the return of Obi-Wan's belongings can happen in the morning. As it is, he strokes his hand down the other man's side, affectionate and relaxed, touching him gently but with clear intention. ]
[Obi-Wan smiled at the reassurance. He knew it wasn’t his fault but it still pained him to know that his absence had hurt Albert so. His smile widening even more as it became clear his lover wasn’t going anywhere any time soon and seemed to have the same things in mind that he did. The clear intention behind his touch arousing the Jedi yet again.]
Yes, please.
[The words coming as a soft plea. Shifting closer to the other man to drift a hand over his skin as well. Blue eyes gazing back at Albert with clear desire before he moved in for another kiss.]
"That would be wonderful," Obi-Wan says happily. "I hope you have tea."
Because right now he would enjoy a nice steaming cup of decent tea. He had still been trying to get his vaporator working properly back on Tatooine. And the water from it had been less than ideal.
[ Albert catches Obi-Wan's lips, the kiss beginning slow, building up as their bodies warm and list begins to fill their veins. It feels incredible, to simply lay together, kiss, his fingers exploring Obi-Wan's back, caressing him tenderly.
But as the heat grows, as the lust builds, his fingers stroke lower again, groping the round cheeks of Obi-Wan's ass and his hips begin to rock forward, their cocks sliding together, throbbing and stiff.
And then a moment later, he rolls them over and kisses Obi-Wan with real heat, before making love to him again. ]
“Oh good. You’re a real Jedi after all.” This said with humor as they make it to Luke’s door. Obi-Wan having warmed up enough at that point that he takes off Luke’s cloak and offers it back to him.
"Don't get too excited, I still like my caf. I just recognise there's a place for tea as well." He takes the cloak, opening the door and ushering Obi-Wan in.
Plus side. The helmet isn't here anymore! It's down at the house.
