[hey Obi-Wan, surely you've missed Skywalker drama. Because immediately after her encounter with Anakin, Leia tries to reach Obi-Wan through the amulet. Her anger, and a slight amount of fear, is more than apparent thanks to the link between them, and it's likely not hard to imagine the reason for this reaction.]

Did you tell him?

[no clarification on who's being told what here, because it's not needed. And Obi-Wan is her first guess as to who might have told him anything.]

[Why yes, there's nothing he wants more than to be interrupted in his daily meditations by Skywalker drama. The unexpected contact caused his brow to furrow slightly as he sat in his previously peaceful state.

Unfortunately for Leia, He has no idea what she's talking about. Though he might have a few ideas. Still, he's not going to assume.]

Could you be more specific, Leia?

[Her anger and fear is met with a wall of calm. Though there is a touch of concern.]

[his attempt at calming her emotions with his own had little effect on Leia. In fact, his response only has the effect of spiking her irritation, as she assumes he's being deliberately obtuse and pretending he doesn't know what she's asking about.]

Anakin is aware of who I am to him, and I'd like to know if it was you who told him.

[Despite her little Skywalker snippy tantrum, Obi-Wan's calm doesn't waver.]

I see. I suppose it was only a matter of time. However, if you're looking to accuse someone, you're looking in the wrong place. I did not tell him.

[She's momentarily taken aback by Obi-Wan's answer. Out of everyone here, except probably Luke, she knows Anakin means the most to Obi-Wan, which is why she assumed he was the one who told Anakin against her obvious wishes.

Her anger ebbs slightly, replaced with more fear than anything else. She'll berate herself for it later, most likely, but for now the combination of everything that had happened with Anakin and now worrying about who might have betrayed her trust has Leia on edge.]

Well, he found out from someone. And he's taken to threatening my father as a result.

[No apologies, because Leia doesn't do apologies where Anakin is concerned. As far as she thinks, it was a reasonable assumption to make.]

[Fortunately for her, he won't ask for an apology. He too will not apologize for the way he's handled Anakin. She's free to think what she likes about him as result. But he will defend his innocence. An advocate of Anakin he may be, but he's still respectful of Leia's wishes. He had no reason or need to reveal her identity and thus did not.

Her fear is noted, but her words breaks that calm of his a bit in surprise.]

Your father? ... Bail? Is he here?

[Nope, he had no idea.]

[She somehow thought Obi-Wan would've already been aware, through running into him or through the Force or something like that. She knows full well Obi-Wan and Bail were friends of some sort, so him not being aware of Bail's presence is a surprise.]

He's been here for over a month.

Really?

[A very good friend yes. But no their paths hadn't crossed, and having the Force doesn't make him all powerful. Sensing those strong in the Force is much easier than those who are not.]

I'd like to speak with him sometime. But first I'll... see what I can do about Anakin. Even so, do everything you can to keep your father safe.

[Anakin's threats were not to be taken lightly, he knew that.]

I plan on it.

[Because there's no way she wouldn't take Anakin's threats as the real danger they are. Not when she's constantly worried about him when he's not in this sort of mood.

After a few minutes of silence, Obi-Wan will get directions to one of the parks in Verens.]

Anakin should still be there, if you care to find him.

[Since he... passed out. And she didn't bother to do much of anything for him after he passed out.]

[For a moment, he thought that would be all. But then there are the direction. He studies them for a moment, knowing full well she didn't have to tell him where Anakin was.]

[The Jedi were not often so touchy feely, but he always took such things in stride. Even when nearly being crushed in a hug by a Talz or dragged along by magical teenage girls.]

[ On Obi-Wan's doorstop is a small parcel with the robes Galen borrowed, freshly laundered as promised and folded neatly. Also with it is a pineapple and a note, the handwriting neat, but cramped.

[Blue eyes opened finally to turn towards Barris in a thoughtful but somber silence. Being the bearer of bad news was never easy. But he was getting to be quite the veteran at that.

With a soft sigh he turned his gaze forward again to look out upon the lake.]

You were unhappy with the war, and how the Order was a part of it.

While you may have been somewhat justified in your opinion, you caused considerable damage. Not only tarnishing Ahsoka's reputation, and the Jedi who did not stand with her. But Anakin lost his Padawan as a result. She left the Order.

[That had been a difficult time, and Obi-Wan held his own regrets as well.]

... Though in hindsight that decision likely saved her life.

I...see.

[Barriss's eyes remained downcast, unsettled as she was, but she'd heard about the Clones, and the future of the Order. And other things.]

I don't know how I could have gotten to that point, Master Kenobi, but...as you can probably tell, it has not happened for me yet. I'm still a padawan, and a pacifist. I'm...just a healer.

[She works her jaw a little, trying to steady herself, because there's really only one answer to this. She's worked out the details with her myriad of conversations. Putting together information has always come naturally to her.]

I've gathered that shortly after...that...the Order is destroyed by the Clones, operating under Chancellor Palpatine, who presumably was tied to the Sith Lord that Master Yoda has been seeking out. That's why Ahsoka was spared. Because she wasn't there.

[She's silent for a long moment, but her sense gathers resolve.]

I...suppose I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't. If I stay here, Ahsoka will probably die. If I leave, then I'll do damage to the Order.

Well, even your galaxy they must have something like noodles right? If not, you're in for a treat, Obi-Wan-san!

[She pulled him inside, the restaurant small and only really having one very long counter and a few tables. There were billows of steam coming from behind the counter and soft slurping from all the customers. She looked around and found the two open seats at the counter and pulled Obi-Wan over to it.] Alright, so there's only two sort of noodles you can choose from, there are ramen noodles and soba noodles! Ramen noodles are thinner and soba noodles are thicker. The soup base is also different.

I'm going to be getting soba noodles because they're softer. [And she couldn't really swallow anything difficult just yet.]

I know, and I don't hold any decisions you have not yet made against you.

[To do so would mean he would also have to condemn Anakin as Leia has. Something that Obi-Wan was not willing to do. He deserved a chance to do better here, as does Barriss and anyone else for that matter.]

That's right, though it is Palpatine himself who is the Sith Lord. Who orchestrated the entire war and the fall of the Jedi.

[For now, he avoids Anakin's part in all that mess.]

The way time works here is uncertain. Events that are the future for some, are the past for others. No one knows if we can change things or if we should. Whether our presence here has any effect on our worlds at all. Regardless, whether we come or go is not our choice to make. People vanish as quickly as they arrive. It's best to be mindful of that.

I did not think you would. Not after having seen Anakin.

[That's another thing she'd picked up on. Anakin had done something far worse, and she could feel that in his aura.]

I appreciate that, though. I'm...not that person. And I won't become that person, if I have the chance to prevent that.

[Looking over at him again, she purses her lips. Palpatine as a Sith Lord. That was troubling, but...]

I've read about that, as well. I am also aware of research into portals here to move us offworlder's home.

And more than that, I do not believe the Force would have deposited any of us here without a reason. To learn, to change, to balance, something. It cannot be a coincidence.

[Though he was too polite to mention that they looked like anemic grassworms, something he found a bit unappetizing as it brought to mind a certain fellow Jedi who liked to eat insects and worms in a pinch. The thought itself was nauseating.

Obi-Wan cleared his throat and gave Usagi a smile.]

You do well to think that, Padawan. I have come to that same conclusion. We have been given a unique opportunity, in some ways a second chance.

[It was the only explanation he could really think of aside from helping this world of course. It could only be the bidding of the Force.]

But you will find yourself challenged here. Everything you've believe will be tested. In this place you must embrace and use your emotions. It is a difficult balance for a Jedi.

The Jedi still have emotions, despite what they may say.

[That isn't really the issue but it is a difference of philosophy between Luminara and himself, so it feels wise to point out. She's aware, keenly, of what he's saying though.]

I will do my best to keep that lesson in mind though, Master Kenobi. I'm...well, you'll find me to be a quiet person, and I shall try not to trouble you or your apprentice.

[She ordered for the both of them when the waiter came by while another put down a pot of green tea in front of the both of them.]

[There was no denying that. Despite what some thought, Jedi were feeling people like anyone else. They just... tried to control it. Her reassurances though brought on a faint smile. Though he lifted his brow slightly at her request.]

I...realize that you have very little reason to trust me. Because of what may happen, and what has happened. And I realize you and I are not the most well acquainted.

[Her eyes turn down a little, a faint frown and a chill wind blowing up off the lake indicators of how uncomfortable she is.]

But your apprentice. Can you tell me where he's staying? So I can avoid that area entirely. Our meeting was...not exactly productive, and I would rather try and head off that as another potential problem. I can feel something in his aura, and I know how emotional he can be, so I think that would be best.

[There was a moment of silence. It would be clear to Barriss that Obi-Wan was troubled. He knew exactly what she was talking about.]

I agree it would be best for you to avoid him. However... I'm afraid I don't know where he's staying at present.

Since he moved from the lake, he's hidden himself somewhere in the city. He hasn't seen it fit to tell me. But... if I learn otherwise, I will let you know.

One is not a Jedi and does not drink tea. Especially in the presence of Master Yoda.

[Obi-Wan said this with a little grin as he peered at the tea pot. Leaning over to get a whiff of the steam coming from it.]

I'm not familiar with this one though. Smells rather... grassy.
