[ Brrng brrrng, here comes that feeling of someone contacting Obi-Wan via the amulet, a soft hum in the back of his mind to remind him of the boy whose voice leaks through once the connection is accepted; it's far more relaxed this time, both the trainer and the call, if with the tiniest amount of nervousness far, far in the background that's easy to lose in the faint static. ]

Hey, Obi-...won? Uhh, hi, it's Red! Do you have a minute?

[ No, there was definitely no small tickle of embarrassment anywhere in there. ]

[all things considered, though she's still more tired than she's used to being, Leia feels much better. She looks it, too, the color having long since returned to her face, and her hair done up in the sort of intricate Alderaani braids she usually sports. Because she's feeling better, Leia intends to continue or follow through with several items she planned on doing during her recovery, one of which Obi-Wan had offered to help with. Though, there was more than just that reason behind her contacting him today.]

If you have the time, I would like to know your schedule for the next few days, so I can work on arranging a meeting with the authorities. If you're still willing to accompany me, that is.

[she pauses, almost hesitating slightly before adding on--]

There's also another matter I would like your assistance with.

[In the middle of the afternoon, after four days of searching and worry, Anakin finally shoves his way into Obi-Wan's apartment without even knocking. He looks like he's barely slept in days, running on pure emotion and caf.]

Master?

[He doesn't bother with any proper greetings, only stopping to shut the door behind him with more force than is really needed. Who cares about those kinds of things? Anakin clearly doesn't, as he's too busy being frantic and ready to leap at the smallest sign of something being off.]

I need your help. Right now.

[If Leia were being honest, there was something that had been nagging at her in the back of her mind since her fight and final real conversation with Padme. Namely, the subject of the fight itself, which really only served to help fuel her intense hatred, fear, and overall rejection of Anakin as a person and his relation to her. She doesn't care about Anakin, nor does she want to know how his mind works, but there's a disconnect between the Anakin Padme claims exists and Darth Vader, and Leia truly doesn't understand how that could happen (because clearly there must have been something buried underneath that she neglected to mention before their fight).

Padme would have been the one to ask, probably, given how well she knew Anakin, but Padme was gone now, and asking Luke would no doubt only lead to questions about seeing the light in their father. And she didn't really want to fight with Luke about that. So that leaves Obi-Wan as the only real logical choice.]

I'd like to talk with you. In person, or over the crystal, I don't mind either way.

[her tone, while pleasant, is diplomatic and to the point. That was the easier way to approach this subject, if you asked her.]

[Well okay, it's not at midnight or whatever hour he was born, but sometime after Obi-Wan gets home.]

[For Obi-Wan's thirteenth birthday, a big deal for all Padawans in the Jedi Order, Qui-Gon just managed to scrounge together a gift: a Force-sensitive stone from the River of Light on his homeworld. He'd always been a bit scatterbrained when it came to such things. But this time is different! This time, Qui-Gon manages a little bit of foresight in a matter that didn't directly involve some sort of mission.]

[This time, when Qui-Gon returns from his usual visit about the town and fulfilling some sort of odd-job, it's with a box. It's a tiny box, nothing to really comment on, and even the tiny cake inside the tiny box isn't the biggest of deals, but the reason behind it and the circumstances surrounding the gift make up for its overall mundane nature.]

[He just wants to cheer up his old Padawan, darn it. He deserves it.]

[Qui-Gon closes the front door behind him and calls for his friend.]

[Like, honestly, ten minutes after this ends...]

[He doesn't LIKE using this method of contact, but he was left scratching his head after talking with a stranger who said he was a friend of Obi-wan and well... hi. Let's chat.]

[There is a soft focus on the man, and then a careful voice.]

[Thanks to the events so far of this thread, Obi-Wan's going to receive a message from everybody's favorite Jedi grandpa.]

You may want to set another plate for dinner tonight.

You were the one who told me he wouldn't be a danger here.

[about a different Anakin, perhaps, but those words apply just as much to this newly arrived Anakin. It may not be a conversation Obi-Wan wants to have, especially not with Leia, but she can't just sit back and not take action after her friend was attacked.]

[It's a simple gift, but one that was carefully picked out for Obi Wan especially, something that had meaning behind the giving but would have more meaning once Obi-Wan got the chance to use it. Wrapped simply, but smartly, the package rests with the other one for Qui-Gon.

Inside, are two hand crafted leather bound books, with their own container than can be locked with a key included.]

[At some point in time soon after this, Ezra finds himself seeking out Obi-Wan. It doesn't take much time at all to search through the apartment, as small as it is, before he's knocking on the Jedi Master's door.]

[Ezra's trying really hard to sound normal, but there's only so normal you can sound when you're stripped down to your shorts and shivering in an abandoned building with a near stranger. Embarrassment is the main emotion coloring his mental "voice," though hints of anger and frustration lace the edges, as well hesitation. Despite his assurances to Galen, he doesn't know if Obi-Wan's even in a position where he can help.]

Can I ask you for a favor?

[Regardless of whether or not Obi-Wan is awake, Qui-Gon is going to barge into his room just as the sun begins to rise. No warning, no knocking, just straight up waltzing in.]

[Cold weather clothes, Rey has decided, are The Worst. They're bulky, even the admittedly better items Kylo showed her, and while she's discovered knit hats succeed in making her head much warmer, they also make it impossible to wear her hair in any way that feels familiar. Her usual buns simply don't fit with any degree of comfort, and she had a rather long debate with herself that it wasn't really that cold before grudgingly taking down the lower two buns and shoving her loose hair up inside the hat. Not like her family can find her here anyway.

Still, whenever she comes inside the house (through the door--she's trying!) and sloughs off the heavy layers, she pulls her hair back into those three messy buns as soon as she can. Some days, however, it's so much of a disaster that she's forced to visit the refresher, now that she's discovered wet hair tends to behave somewhat better. Today, judging by the tangled mess revealed when she pulls off her hat and warm things and puts them by the door, is one of those days.]

Hello! [Greeting whoever is in the room or calling to anyone nearby is more about announcing that she's come in through a door and said hello like a normal person than an actual greeting. She realizes it's probably what's expected of her now that she's living with people, but well, Rey can be a stubborn thing and she can't help pouting a little bit about changing her habits.]

[ Has he been avoiding to contact his former master after what has happened? Well... Maybe. A little bit.

Though even now Anakin is only contacting him with some reluctance. ]

Good morning, Obi-Wan-san. [It's late morning when she calls the Jedi, not wanting to be rude and calling him early just in case he was meditating or sleeping in (though he didn't seem the sort for the latter).]

[It's been a few hours since her conversation with Anakin, enough time for Barriss to calm down, get over herself, and find her center. More relaxed now, the young Padawan actually takes Skywalker's advice, reaching out in the Force to find the familiar knot that was Obi-Wan Kenobi and following her senses to him.

It's a decent walk to the lake shore, she finds, but it's not unpleasant, and the brisk winter air is perfect for a walking meditation. However when she finds Kenobi seated on the shore, she's not surprised. Nor should he be when she sits down a few arm lengths away and waits for him to say something, not wanting to disturb his meditation.]

[Obi-Wan will be getting a white rose with a red ribbon wrapped around it. There is also a box of heart-shaped chocolates. The card reads:]

Her anger, and a slight amount of fear, is more than apparent thanks to the link between them, and it's likely not hard to imagine the reason for this reaction.]

[no clarification on who's being told what here, because it's not needed. And Obi-Wan is her first guess as to who might have told him anything.]

[ On Obi-Wan's doorstop is a small parcel with the robes Galen borrowed, freshly laundered as promised and folded neatly. Also with it is a pineapple and a note, the handwriting neat, but cramped.

It reads; ]

There is a saying here that goes something like 'An apple a day keeps the doctor away'. This is the biggest apple I could find. Please recover swiftly and try to not fall ill again.

[It's been a couple of days since Selenium, and the subsequent reverence of the dead, but emotions still ran high and raw. The feeling is still in the air (sometimes literally) when Qui-Gon finally decides to confront Obi-Wan about the haunting vision of Maul and the information that came to light as a result.]

[He knocks on his former Padawan's door, a mere formality these days, but one he keeps up nonetheless.]

Obi-Wan?

[ Whether or not Obi-Wan has entirely recovered by now, he still has to endure his former apprentice seeking him out. Partially to hand him a plate of food that might do better without too close of an inspection, but also for an inquiry. ]

[Shortly after this.]

[Rey's been thinking a lot lately. About Kylo Ren and the lightsaber he now has. She asked Obi-Wan not to take it, and a large part of her hated that he had to go talk to Kylo to begin with. It should've been her, she knows. It was her responsibility to keep that saber away from him, and she failed. And Obi-Wan had to go try to fix things while she was, what? Creating a desert in the yard and slashing at some bushes? Real heroic there, Rey. Letting a kind man who's already taken on enough of everyone's problems handle hers too.

Well, that's over, she's decided. She's long since accepted that Kylo Ren is her responsibility, that he's a burden she can't ask anyone else to bear. It's time she started following up on that.

She knows Obi-Wan has been ill, so she waits until one of the occasional times he's shuffled out of his room to track him down.]

Obi-Wan? I was wondering if I could talk to you about something. It won't take long. [She assumes.]

[One morning before the month's festival, Obi-Wan would find a dark bird impatiently pecking at his window, a message tied to its leg. Assuming that he eventually does open it and retrieve that small note, the messenger will then flap its wings without much concern for the Jedi's face and take off as if it has many more important bird things to do.

The note reads as follows, in a sharp but sweeping font:]

Obi-Wan Kenobi,

There is a matter I would like to discuss with you without distraction. I will be waiting on the northern side of the park nearest the residential quarter at 1 PM on the 10th.

[This message is coming later in the day from Leia, who isn't quite immune to the Solo Shitposting. At least she's considerate enough to keep it contained to only Obi-Wan. Behind the connection, there's a vague feeling of worry and uncertainty, the cause for which will be more than apparent as soon as she speaks.]

If you had known years ago what would happen to Anakin, how would you have prevented it?

[Because she's sure Obi-Wan would've prevented it somehow. It's also a sure bet that it's not Anakin she's talking about here, because even with her interrogation of him, it didn't change her view of him or cause her to have any sympathy for decisions he's made. No, she wants to talk about Ben, but this is the best way to start into the subject.]

[ Anakin has given his former Master plenty of time to fully recover before finally approaching him. But now that he is certain that Obi-Wan has fully recovered, the former Knight doesn't hold back his questions any longer. ]

Why didn't you tell me that there are... Duplicates of my lightsaber here? And just how many of those things are there?

[ Yes, straight to the point. But it's really been bothering him. ]
