[Coming over to pick up his own glass, Obi-Wan smiled and raised it along with her.]

Yes, and to any happiness one can find in this place.

[This Jedi will definitely drink to all of that.]

Yes. To people we hold close to our hearts.

[She took a long sip, smiling wider as she put the glass down.]

I'm glad we could meet like this. Talking and getting to know one another.

[Obi-Wan felt lucky that he had people here that he cared for deeply. He couldn’t imagine what it would be like if he didn’t have Anakin, Jyn, and now Padme. Which caused him to have compassion for Mona all the more.

So he took a sip as well and held the glass in his hands as he considered her words.]

As am I. It’s a nice change of pace. I admit I haven’t taken much time to make friends here.

[For her, Alfred had become someone truly special. He pulled her out of the rough spot and awakened her spark again. And he gave her the push to go out and start meeting people again, Obi-Wan being one of them.]

I've just recently gotten back into it, so we're in the same boat here.

[She laughs softly, leading him to take a seat where they could admire the view.]

Beautiful, hm?

[Jyn was that way with him. They may come from the same galaxy, but they would never cross paths in their lifetimes. But here, she meant more to him than he could express.

Following her lead, Obi-Wan sat down as well and looked out at the scenery. A smile coming to his face.]

Breathtaking.

[He says this while looking back to her.]

And I don't mean just the view.

[She's a lovely woman in her own right. But Obi-Wan is charmed that she was going out of her way just to get to know him. So few people seemed to do that here.]

[Just like her and Alfred. Back home, they wouldn't cross paths either. He lived in a different world but she had heard stories of him and his protégé. Meeting him here was truly a lucky surprise.

She can't help but smile a bit shyly at his comment.]

Well... I can easily say the same.

[He's quite the handsome man, and she's always been weak for blue eyes. She's glad he wanted to get to know her, too.]

[He chuckles softly at the compliment. Fighting the blush that threatens to rise to his cheeks.]

And yet here we are, both recluses in our own right and trying to get to know people.

[It was a bit ironic.]

Granted where I’m from looks don’t mean much.

I've been eager to know more about where you come from.

Well you wouldn’t be the first. Most seem surprised that I come from a galaxy where space travel is not only possible, but an every day thing.

[It was strange to him that most people didn’t have that where they came from!]

That sounds like an amazing place. And you're talking to someone from a world with flying superheroes and giant creature shapeshifters.

[She would love to go up there one day. To see the vast galaxy.]

[Obi-Wan can’t help but laugh at that.]

Oh is that all? Well there are species that shape shift in my galaxy, though the only flying heroes are ones in ships or on the backs of animals.

[He would gladly show her around his galaxy if he could. Though at his point in time it wasn’t exactly safe for him to do so even if they did have that chance.]

That's some of it, for sure. I wish there was a way for us to show a glimpse of each other's worlds.

[If only it were possible. There were so many places she'd heard about and wanted to see.]

What kinds of animals do they ride? I imagine it's not just horses.

Perhaps if I was stronger in the Force that might be possible, but I’m afraid my talents don’t go that far.

[It was simply one of those things. They would have to rely on each other’s words to get a mental picture of each other’s worlds.]

Well the planet I live on has Bantha which are giant shaggy creatures. As well a large reptiles called dewback. Not to mention the smaller but long legged Eopie. Though I admit my favorite has always been Varactyls.

[She nods. She could already imagine the things he described, all those fascinating creatures.]

Wow, that's quite the variety of critters. Varactyls? That's an interesting name.

Yes, they’re a reptiavian that’s known for its speed and agility. Essentially a very large lizard with a crest of feathers. Beautiful animals and very intelligent.

[Though there was none on Tatooine as it wasn’t a suitable place for them. Which was a shame really.]

Wow. Sounds a little like one of the shifters in my world. They must be quite the sight to behold.

[She's so glad they got the chance to do this. To just take their time and trade stories.]

If I had to say, out of all the shifters in my world... I think Lady Cobra is the prettiest. We used to be enemies but we bonded eventually.

Oh? And how did that come about? Making friends of your enemies is no small feat.

[Not to mention it’s a very Jedi thing to do. In most cases at least. There were just some enemies one couldn’t be friends with.]

Well... Turns out we had a common enemy. And weren't all that different after all. We just ended up working together on quite a few occasions.

[She's just glad she managed to convince her to work with her instead of against her.]

She's a badass lady. Really driven, too.

I see. Having a common enemy or cause does tend to bring people together. I’m glad that you were able to find common ground.

[Such things are not always easy and some never let go of grudges and don’t see the potential of the relationships they could have. The fact that Mona did is admirable.]

She's a good ally to have. Our enemy's not the nicest kind at all.

[Mona takes another sip from her drink, making herself more comfortable on the couch. It's easy to relax in Obi-Wan's company.]

You probably have some bad guys in your world too.

Neither is mine. I can appreciate having allies wherever you can find them, no matter how unlikely.

[He his a bit of a sigh as he too took another sip.]

Many, I’m afraid. In fact I was in hiding before I was brought here.
