Now I've half a mind to make something up just to mess around with you...
You've been here a while, so I thought you might know. Obviously given my designation it would be harder, but housing. I know I am unable to own it and would need my Dominant, but logistically? Mine resides with his other contract that he knows in his Up provided housing. Is it simply a manner of funds? Or do you know if there is something about housing regulations with Dominants- aside from the whole who can reside with each other.
Well, the only dominants we can live with are our own. I know that much. And I believe the only other submissives we can live with are those who are contracted with our dominant. Unless you’re uncontracted and living in the public housing of course.
Does your dominant not want you to live with them? Or do you not want to?
I honestly haven’t broached it. I was just thinking, if he left, and both of us remained, there is little chance we would contract to the same person again, so what would happen to the housing.
I am pondering, is all. I grow a little tired of the issues with the Down housing.
I can’t blame you there. As much as I like the place I’m in, I don’t much like the Down.
When Jyn left, a dominant was assigned by the city to care for me for the first month. They were kind and very helpful and advised me on what to expect.
Jyn had left the apartment building and her business to me. I can’t own them but I was allowed to live in and maintain them. Now that I have contracted again the ownership of the buildings will presumably go to my new dominant. We honestly haven’t worked out all the details on that yet.
Actually I have a friend that I think is in a similar situation to yours.
She lives in a house all by herself. It was owned by her former dominant actually. Her current dominant let’s her stay there and he lives with another of his submissives.
She’s actually very lonely and he doesn’t give her much attention. It’s a bit tragic, really.
But since we are both submissives we can’t live together. I considered contracting with her dominant to be with her. But then decided that wasn’t the right path for me.
I told her she should start looking for another dominant. Someone who can make her happy. Until then, I visit her as often as I can. An offer I would be happy to extend to you too of course.
She’s lonely and wants to share her life with someone. Her last dominant was someone she was in love with.
There’s little to be done about Anakin it’s true. Or Jyn. Or her previous dom. But that doesn’t mean we can’t find some happiness here.
But speaking of interests, I mentioned you to someone. A dominant who owns a fashion boutique and who could use some help. I thought that might be up your alley. He’s looking for clerks and models.
[She knows that Anakin had been here for some time before her arrival. Knows that she could never have held any of his actions against him, as how could she? Yet it is those stirrings and a longing for him that does bring that conflict.]
Hm. I do not believe that I am familiar with the name.

I was wondering if I could pick your brain when you have some time.

It is what it is. I have accepted that, and make the best of my situation. It is hard without Anakin, but there is little to be done about it.

[But there's a flash of guilt as it does feel a betrayal to find some happiness.]
Oh? And who might this be?

[He suspects he knows what she’s feeling. Her comments about Anakin were clue enough.]
Nie Huaisang is his name. We met at camp and he has been kind to me.

[Obi-Wan doesn’t blame her for how she feels. She’s presumably had a relationship with Anakin much longer than Obi-Wan ever had with Jyn.]
I can introduce you if you like.
