After another round of trying to find Star Children out in depths of Wintermute, Ezra returns to try to collect Anakin and take him to Willow, offering tidbits about Folkmore as they travel.
"Satine suggested the name Serenity House," Ezra rambles, as they walk across the grasslands of Gram towards the very large house near the Lakes. "Because it's got some elements of a temple, and Jedi live there, but non-Jedi, too."
Obi-Wan is definitely home, Ezra is sure of that; on top of the sorts of connections in the Force that tend to form between students and teachers, he has a familiar bond with Obi-Wan and could probably find the man anywhere in Folkmore, if he had to.
But at the moment, Obi-Wan's presence feels a little muted, which Ezra can only hope doesn't mean he doesn't want to be bothered.
- Or, Obi-Wan can be napping, he realizes. Fallen right asleep in one of the rocking chairs of the porch.
Satine? That certainly adds to the list of growing questions, but pausing every few minutes to go over them won't do anything. At least not yet. That can all come later.
Even if Anakin isn't very good at the whole patience thing. He's trying, and all of this is a lot to take in. He has so many questions and the ever growing feeling that his is some sort of dream. Not like the ones he had of his mother, but still a strange dream.
"This is very different from Coruscant. It's very quiet in comparison."
The ever busy city with speeders and ships always overhead. Anakin doesn't get to spend as much time there due to the war these days, but even other planets are plagued by fighting. So this is all rather strangely peaceful compared to that. Something Obi-Wan probably appreciates more than Anakin, who just feels unease about the whole thing.
As they approach the house, it’s just as Ezra suspects. At the side of the building on the wrap around porch, there’s a robed figure resting in one of the rocking chairs. It will become even more obvious as they get closer that it’s none other than Obi-Wan and he’s fast asleep. Worn out from the stresses of recent days.
Though their close proximity makes him stir. His eyebrows raising as he breathes out a sigh. “Anakin,” he says softly, his subconscious having picked up on the man’s presence even in his sleep.
"I like it. It's a lot like where I'm from. Lothal," he says quietly. He realizes dropping that bit of info may also raise more questions, but he sees no point in trying to hide that he wasn't raised in the Temple.
He steps up onto the porch, his affection, and a flicker of concern, for Obi-Wan blooming in the Force. "Master," he calls gently, solidifying his presence and even projecting a little into the bond with Obi-Wan trying to convey-
He is here, with both Obi-Wan and Anakin. This is real.
"I'm just glad it's not full of sand. I'll take quiet over that." Don't worry, he won't go into a sand tangent. He can do that with Rey later. But also enough of that for now.
"Obi-Wan." Anakin is pretty glad to see him and his tone is more of a relieved one. Obi-Wan looks a little more worn than normal, but Anakin assumes that's a result of the long war.
It's been taking a toll on them both.
"I'm still not sure what to think of all this, but if I'm going to be stuck in a strange place at least it's the both of us." He shoots a glance to Ezra. "And others too."
