A flood of love/embarrassment/turmoil/relief when Ezra spots this on the network almost certainly comes through his bond to Obi-Wan, loud and clear. Over a few minutes, that inundation softens to a steadier warmth, more pensive, with flurries of confusion.
Ezra goes for a walk around Epiphany. Comes back.
And then, finally goes to track down Obi-Wan.
"Is this a good time to talk?" Ezra asks, a little hesitantly, when he finds him.
Ezra. How is a man supposed to meditate when your feelings are so loud in his head? Fortunately Obi-Wan is a patient man, but he can practically track Ezra's path as he walks around Epiphany. He just sighs and gives up at that point. Deciding to ruminate over what could have gotten the younger Jedi in such a tizzy. He just sits there and waits, expecting Ezra to come to him when he was ready. Sure enough he did.
The Jedi Master is by the lakes, enjoying the view, when he senses his former Padawan coming up to him.
"As good a time as any. How was your walk around Epiphany?"
Ezra winces, and then folds himself to sit beside Obi-Wan. "That loud, huh? Sorry. I will...work on that."
He stares out across the water for a second, then sighs. "A necessary walk. Sansa-" Another pause. "Sansa remembers months in Trench after my knighting that I don't. And I think we're not quite on the same page as I thought we were."
“Strong feelings can be difficult to contain,” he says with understanding.
As Ezra elaborates though, Obi-Wan takes a moment to consider that quietly.
“Time away from someone can change that person. You’re certainly not the same person you were in Temba. Something that I have to remind myself of often.”
Ezra was no longer the Padawan that Obi-Wan had been teaching. It was a bit jarring and certainly made him sad that he missed some important moments in Ezra’s journey as a Jedi. But those were feelings he had to let go of.
“It’s clear that she still has feelings for you, and you her. So why do you think you’re not on the same page?”
[Well this is random. But at the same time not entirely surprising?]
This happens sometimes. A friend of mine had another, future version of himself appear here. Having different memories and experiences that he hadn't had yet. It's happened to several people. There are some that are alternate versions of themselves that have lived entirely different lives.
I suppose if I were you, I would try to talk to him. If you think you can handle what he might say.
When Satine first sees him, she is struck silent and still for a moment. She drinks in details - he's in his full robes, not the armor she rather loathed as a symbol of the direction his duty had taken him, of the war that was tearing the galaxy apart.
There are hints of silver, in his hair. That's new, isn't it? A sadness that seems to weigh on him, even more than the last times they've spoken.
Then she takes a small step towards him, lifting her hands a little, wanting to run to him, and embrace him, but uncertain how welcome it would be. "Obi?"
Obi-Wan had been out for a walk near the lakes when he saw her. At first, he wondered if he was hallucinating. She was a vision, standing there with the sunlight illuminating her golden hair. The Jedi couldn't help but stare, but upon reaching out in the Force, he soon realized his eyes weren't deceiving him. His breath catching when she eventually noticed him. She looked the same as the last time he saw her. Except, you know, alive.
Finally his feet started to move, her name on his lips as he gained momentum. Though he slowed as he drew near, a mixture of emotion flitting across his face and in his blue eyes. He had never dared to hope to see her again, and yet here she was. Like a gift put before him by the fox.
He’s quiet for a moment. Simply taking her in. Obi-Wan can’t help himself as he tentatively raises a hand to brush his fingertips across her hair. Again making sure that she was real. Just the faintest glimmer in his eyes.
“Oh… yes. We all have.”
While others might hate the Fox, Obi-Wan mentally whispers his gratitude to the being.
[A while after leaving the Jedi house, Ingo comes slinking around again. He knows he shouldn't, really. It's an embarrassing thing to do. But the whole accidental meeting with Emmet was a lot, and he just sort of wants someone to talk to. Not that he can talk to Obi-Wan about that, seeing as he's Bo-Katan's friend...but hell, it's not as though Ingo has any friends of his own around here. He might as well talk to someone about something.
If he can. He doesn't want to interrupt anything, or run into Ezra or any of the other residents he spent several weeks humiliating himself in front of. So he ends up just sort of lurking outside the house for a few minutes, trying to figure out how he can tell what's going on inside.]
[Poor Ingo doesn't realize that all the force sensitives in the house can feel the dark cloud that is him coming a mile away.
Fortunately for him, everyone ignores it, with the exception of one. Obi-Wan having already figured out that Ingo was most comfortable with him. So eventually the Jedi Master comes out of his own volition and walks directly in Ingo's direction. He knows you're there.]
[There's a warm, friendly smile on Obi-Wan's face when Ingo sees and acknowledges him. The Jedi coming to a stop a few feet from the man and bowing politely.]
Hello Ingo, it's a pleasure to see you again. Are you well?
After speaking with her sister, Satine spends a while alone. She is not a Jedi, that has truly striven to the level of equanimity required to listen carefully to the Force, for decades; that shows in how hot her temper flashes, sometimes.
Nonetheless, she has wrestled with her own ways of emotional regulation, and she manages to smooth out her outward presentation, at least. By the time dinner for the household is set out, coming across as perhaps a little tired, but otherwise pleasantly chit chats - although she does avoid looking Obi-Wan directly in the eyes.
Then she retreats to her room for a while. Later in the evening, changed into modest lilac colored sleep clothing and wrapped in a light house robe, she knocks on Obi-Wan's door.
Obi-Wan knew something was up. He had discreetly peeked through a window at one point as the sisters talked. He didn't really know much about their relationship, their past together, but knew this was some time they needed. Though the spiking of emotions had caught his attention as well. Despite that, he left it alone. Knowing that if Satine wanted to talk about it, she would come to him.
It's difficult not to say something when she avoids his gaze over dinner, but he refrains. A bad feeling washing over him as he wondered what the two women had spoken of. Bo-Katan was from the future after all, and had a lot of knowledge because of that. Likely knowing things Obi-Wan didn't know as well.
The Jedi is patient though, and his waiting seems to pay off in the form of Satine knocking at his door. He's dressed in a fluffy white bathrobe and slippers when he opens the door. Giving her a kind smile before wordlessly stepping aside to let her in.
After another round of trying to find Star Children out in depths of Wintermute, Ezra returns to try to collect Anakin and take him to Willow, offering tidbits about Folkmore as they travel.
"Satine suggested the name Serenity House," Ezra rambles, as they walk across the grasslands of Gram towards the very large house near the Lakes. "Because it's got some elements of a temple, and Jedi live there, but non-Jedi, too."
Obi-Wan is definitely home, Ezra is sure of that; on top of the sorts of connections in the Force that tend to form between students and teachers, he has a familiar bond with Obi-Wan and could probably find the man anywhere in Folkmore, if he had to.
But at the moment, Obi-Wan's presence feels a little muted, which Ezra can only hope doesn't mean he doesn't want to be bothered.
- Or, Obi-Wan can be napping, he realizes. Fallen right asleep in one of the rocking chairs of the porch.
Satine? That certainly adds to the list of growing questions, but pausing every few minutes to go over them won't do anything. At least not yet. That can all come later.
Even if Anakin isn't very good at the whole patience thing. He's trying, and all of this is a lot to take in. He has so many questions and the ever growing feeling that his is some sort of dream. Not like the ones he had of his mother, but still a strange dream.
"This is very different from Coruscant. It's very quiet in comparison."
The ever busy city with speeders and ships always overhead. Anakin doesn't get to spend as much time there due to the war these days, but even other planets are plagued by fighting. So this is all rather strangely peaceful compared to that. Something Obi-Wan probably appreciates more than Anakin, who just feels unease about the whole thing.
As they approach the house, it’s just as Ezra suspects. At the side of the building on the wrap around porch, there’s a robed figure resting in one of the rocking chairs. It will become even more obvious as they get closer that it’s none other than Obi-Wan and he’s fast asleep. Worn out from the stresses of recent days.
Though their close proximity makes him stir. His eyebrows raising as he breathes out a sigh. “Anakin,” he says softly, his subconscious having picked up on the man’s presence even in his sleep.
[Normally, Ariadne knows better to call someone in the middle of the night (early morning?), but this is a special circumstance. And also not the first time in the past few nights she's woken up with a gasp, realizing that she wasn't in her own mind.
How could she be? She's heard the name Qui-Gon Jinn plenty, but couldn't possibly know what he looks like. And while she's seen Obi-Wan as a much younger man, she's never seen him that young before.
She quickly fumbles for her device. There's a tremble in her hand. Both at how he'll react to knowing that she (unintentionally) invaded his memories, and at wondering what part of of her past he may have uncovered.]
[There was a soft smile on Obi-Wan’s face as he slept. Basking in the feeling of freedom and joy of a first flight that the dreams brought him. His own wings having appeared and even twitching slightly despite the memory not being his. It felt so real, as if it was. But he was then pulled from it as the beeping from his relic reached his ears. He stirred, one of his feathered wings bumping against Satine who was sharing his bed that evening.
Shirtless and hair mussed from sleep, Obi-Wan rubbed his eyes before reaching out for the relic on the nightstand. Trying not to bother his bedmate as he answered the call, which was fortunately not a video call.]
[Satine is neither the lightest, not deepest of sleepers, but Obi-Wan's voice is enough to rouse her a little, enough to shift a little, and squint over-]
