[Satine is neither the lightest, not deepest of sleepers, but Obi-Wan's voice is enough to rouse her a little, enough to shift a little, and squint over-]
[One wing reaches out to do a long stretch as he yawns and… when did those come out? Turns to look at Satine and then snaps his attention back to the relic. Now very much wide awake.]
What? No! You didn’t interrupt anything, Ariadne.
[A blush having risen to his cheeks as he clears his throat.]
Believe me I wouldn’t have answered if we were… preoccupied.
[Satine snaps more awake as well, leaning away from the wings, clearly confused She's seen them before, of course, but not in bed!
This all smells of Fox nonsense.
She sits up more, and then swings her feet out of the bed, so she can reach for her house robe, as she lifts her voice just a little, speaking over her shoulder, so the relic can catch it-]
We were asleep, that's all, dear. Are you alright?
[Ariadne hesitates. She should probably leave well enough alone but... Well, Thirteen obviously meant for her to see what she saw.
She can't just pretend it didn't happen.
So with a deep breath, she switches over to video. It's dark in her little treehouse, making Ariadne look like a pale moon, sitting in a blurry pink and purple nebula. Her hair is loose, framing her face. Behind here are occasional flashes as the mobiles catch starlight.]
I saw a man. Human. Tall. With long hair and a beard, both brown and white. You called him "Master."
[She nearly chokes on the word, just because she hates its implications back home so much.]
Sitting up as well, Obi-Wan turns on a lamp with a flick of his hand. Running a hand across his face and then through his hair. And… oh we’re going to video now.
Obi-Wan still being shirtless but is at least wearing his sleep pants. Both wings now stretching languidly behind him as he stands and gives them a few flaps. Pausing as Ariadne’s words sink in. His wings then folding behind him.]
You saw Master Qui-Gon?
[Stunned and mystified at it all. But then…]
I saw a woman with pink hair and black wings. Threatening to push you out of a tree if you didn’t jump. Your mother?
[Now more modestly covered by her robe, Satine comes around the bed. And if she admiringly eyes the stretch of wings and Obi-Wan's shoulders for just a second, well, she thinks she's out of frame enough Airy won't see it. And knows very well Obi-Wan might sense it, but that she's not fussed about.
Then more briskly-]
Should I leave you two to discuss, or would you like me here for moral support?
[Ariadne lets out a groan. Momentarily forgetting that she's holding her device, she buries her face in both hands, shrouding the video feed in shadows.]
What is with Thirteen and my mother?
[It's not exactly the first time Rotspine has come up in these memories and Ariadne is beyond embarrassed.]
[He definitely feels her eyes on him and is quietly amused. Even moreso at Ariadne’s apparent embarrassment. Though he first addresses Satine.]
Unless Ariadne has objections I don’t mind you staying, my dear.
[He then looks back to the relic and chuckles.]
There’s nothing to apologize for, Ariadne. Seeing your first flight, feeling it for myself, it was quite endearing. I feel that I understand you better. Though I’m now wondering if you saw anything I should be embarrassed about.
[An amused glance is given to Satine. They had both been very hard headed actually. Which is why their heads butted so frequently. Though he somber a bit as Ariadne elaborates.]
Oh… yes. He neglected to tell me and I found out second hand.
[A pause.]
Council members were not allowed to have Padawans as serving on the council was very demanding. If he accepted it would have meant he could no longer be my master and I would have been transferred to someone else to complete my training.
[Voice/Action]
Obi? [Is everything alright?]
no subject
Ariadne groans, the sound of her head thunking lightly against the wall transmitting over the feed.]
Oh! No, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to interrupt your intercourse. Please, I can call back in the morning.
[Or is it morning already?]
no subject

I think I saw Qui-Gon Jinn.

Satine is probably right.
She blows a piece of hair out of her face, putting the camera back to a better angle.]
You seemed to be having an argument. Something about a council.
no subject
Master Qui-Gon and I argued many times, including over the council.
[What with how his old master often liked to defy them and all.]

Master Qui-Gon Jinn could be a very hard headed man.
no subject
He had been invited to join.
This seemed...hurtful, somehow?

But he didn't accept. Correct?

The guilt over disturbing them is mounting. It was silly. Obviously a trick of Thirteen...]
