I got him cornered. I almost had him and I was even going to take him alive...

But he bit down on something and the next thing I know he's foaming at the mouth and collapses to the ground dead.

Or definitely giving all the signs of dead to the point of not having a pulse.

To go that far to not be caught... I haven't seen dedication like that in... a while.

You're right though, that is dedication, and if they are that serious then there's little to no room for negotiation. They believe in their cause enough to sacrifice themselves. I've seen it before.
