Uwaaaah it was brutal, Obi-Wan-san. [She may or may not have cried.]

Celebrating would be awesome, thank you.

I understand completely.

[So not even Elios had mercy, eh. It's okay Usagi, he cried too.]

It's settled then. Do you have a favorite place?

All food is good food. [Though with a bruised neck-] I know a really good noodle restaurant I think you'll like! [Noodles were simply enough to eat, with no fear of choking.]

[How considerate of you Usagi!]

All right. What's the address? I'll meet you there.

[She gives him the address and waves.]

I'll see you there soon!

[He knows the address, he's coming to know Verens fairly well by now. So Usagi will see a familiar cloaked man coming to meet her about 15 minutes after their conversation ended. He greets her with a polite bow and a smile.]

Shall we, then?

[She bowed back in greeting and grabbed his hand, always physically affectionate. She led him inside.]

I'm so glad you could come!

[The Jedi were not often so touchy feely, but he always took such things in stride. Even when nearly being crushed in a hug by a Talz or dragged along by magical teenage girls.]

It's my pleasure, Usagi. Though I admit I'm not very familiar with this place.

Well, even your galaxy they must have something like noodles right? If not, you're in for a treat, Obi-Wan-san!

[She pulled him inside, the restaurant small and only really having one very long counter and a few tables. There were billows of steam coming from behind the counter and soft slurping from all the customers. She looked around and found the two open seats at the counter and pulled Obi-Wan over to it.] Alright, so there's only two sort of noodles you can choose from, there are ramen noodles and soba noodles! Ramen noodles are thinner and soba noodles are thicker. The soup base is also different.

I'm going to be getting soba noodles because they're softer. [And she couldn't really swallow anything difficult just yet.]

Well... yes of course.

[Though he was too polite to mention that they looked like anemic grassworms, something he found a bit unappetizing as it brought to mind a certain fellow Jedi who liked to eat insects and worms in a pinch. The thought itself was nauseating.

Obi-Wan cleared his throat and gave Usagi a smile.]

I'll just follow your lead. Soba noodles it is.

Alright, I'll order us both some tempura udon! You can never go wrong with that. And we can get a side of edamame, or well, steamed soy beans while we wait!

[She ordered for the both of them when the waiter came by while another put down a pot of green tea in front of the both of them.]

You have tea at least in your galaxy, yeah?

One is not a Jedi and does not drink tea. Especially in the presence of Master Yoda.

[Obi-Wan said this with a little grin as he peered at the tea pot. Leaning over to get a whiff of the steam coming from it.]

I'm not familiar with this one though. Smells rather... grassy.

[She laughed.] Well, then Master Yoda has good taste.

And this - [She took the tea pot and poured for him since it would be incredibly rude to let him pour for himself.] is Green Tea. You have a good nose, it is made from leaves. It's one of the healthiest and best teas to have! Not my all time favorite, but one you can never go wrong with.

Are your teas not usually made from leaves?

Yes, though be wary of his soups.

[That stuff Yoda had brought him in the hospital, while thoughtful and likely nutritious, hadn't been the most palatable. Actually it was downright awful.]

Some teas are made with leaves, some fruits, or roots. Why, we even have butter tea made from Bantha butter.

[Once she was done pouring he appreciatively took the cup and studied the green liquid. It was certainly well named. Obi-Wan then took an experimental sip.]

Oh! Is he here? I'd love to meet him if he is!

We have fruit and root teas too! There's a ginger tea that's supposed to be really good for an upset stomach. We make teas from flowers too like lavender.

Butter tea though? [She scowled as the bowl of edamame was placed down between them but she leaned forward, wanting to see his reaction to the tea.]

[Well.. it certainly tasted like it smelled. Obi-Wan paused as he considered the tea.]

Different, yet not unpleasant. I do think its a bit of an acquired taste, though.

And yes, he is here, though you will likely find him when you least expect it.

I bet you'd like honey lemon tea. Almost everyone loves honey lemon tea. [She grinned as she held out an edamame.]

Have you ever had one of these before?

Oh? Is that so? Is he more fond of being alone?

Oh I'm certain that I would if your lemons are anything like Roona lemons.

[He then looked at the Edamame and took it, looking it over curiously.]

I don't believe so. A type of bean in the pod? ... Do you eat it as is?

And well... I wouldn't say that. More that he's probably used to it at this point.

Too bad we can't get plants and the like from home. I miss red-bean buns, oh my gosh they were amazing!

[At his question she grinned and grabbed one, showing him how to eat it before depositing the pod into the extra empty bowl.]

Oh that's... that's awful. No one should be used to that.

[Obi-Wan hummed his agreement as he followed Usagi's example. This was certainly... different. Using his mouth to extract the soybeans from the pod. But they were rather delicious.

His tone was somber though once he finished with it and likewise placed the empty pod in the bowl.]

We come from an awful time.

I keep hearing about things, bits and pieces from your world. It doesn't sound...

I have to wonder if you all weren't meant to come here, in a way, not to help this world, but to be helped yourself.

I've wondered the same, actually. If not do both. Sometimes helping others is the only way we can heal ourselves.

[She reached out and rested a hand on top of his.]

I hope, if there is any way I can help bring you and your loved ones more peace and happiness, that you know I'll do whatever I can.

I really do hope you get to experience more happiness in your life, Obi-Wan-san.

[At the gentle touch, a soft smile came to the Jedi's face. Her kindness not being missed at all on this one.]

Thank you, Usagi. Your friendship alone is more than I could ever ask for.
