[ Whether or not Obi-Wan has entirely recovered by now, he still has to endure his former apprentice seeking him out. Partially to hand him a plate of food that might do better without too close of an inspection, but also for an inquiry. ]

You look better today, master.

You mean not like death warmed over?

[He certainly looked to be feeling better, what with having risen out of bed enough to come downstairs. The Jedi wrapped in a simple robe that he usually slept in. Though he's still not quite the picture of optimal health, his color is starting to come back. Though his hair is a bit unkempt from having spent the last few days in bed.

He then took the plate gratefully and moved to sit down.]

Thank you.

Pretty much.

[ Come on, you got out of bed on your own, That is an improvement! ]

But you still should take it slowly and rest more.

[Obi-Wan couldn't help a soft chuckle as he picked at the plate a little. He hadn't eaten much the past few days. His stomach had rebeled on him frequently.]

How the tables have turned.

[He then took a tentative bite of whatever it was Anakin had given him.]

[ If Obi-Wan were to ask, then Anakin couldn't even exactly name what it is he has handed his former Master to eat. At least there are no living bugs on his plate. ]

Have they?

[ He sounds amused. ]

Well, someone has to watch out for you as well from time to time. Even if you don't like it.

[The fact that the food was unidentifiable is worrying enough. It takes a brave man to put it in his mouth. So excuse him as he tries not to choke before forcing it down.]

It's hard not to with such blatant reminders as to why I do all the cooking.

[Sorry Anakin your cooking sucks. Some things never change.]

Oh, come on. It's edible and won't kill you.

[ AND it's not pie for a change. ]

You might miss it while I'm gone.

I think that's debatable.

[In fact he's trying to muster up the courage to take another bite. That is until what Anakin says next grabs his attention. Sweet distraction.]

What? Are you going somewhere?

Well...

[ He draws the word out a little while he leans against the kitchen counter. ]

Actually, Usagi asked if I'd accompany her to the surface for a short trip. And I told her, I'd ask you for permission when you're not half asleep or semi-comatose.

[ Look, he's being good. He's not pretending that he asked you during a fever dream and interpreted your incoherent mumbling as a yes.

Though, granted. He did that too. But he's trying for an actual permission now before he tries to hold your own words against you.. ]

[Obi-Wan's brows rose a bit at that. He hadn't expected anything like that happening. But Anakin did seem to be making friends with Usagi if his mug collection was any indication. Not that it was hard to do. And he did appreciate Anakin asking first.]

I see. Where exactly would you be going? What would you be doing and for how long?

[He felt like he was interrogating a child going on his first date. But he had to ask.]

Oh, I... I actually don't know.

[ And he blinks at his own realization that he hasn't even asked. Anakin clasps his hands together, thinking. ]

She said, she wanted to find something that makes me happy, and I guess our conversation sort of went off-track after that.

[There was a small exasperated sigh as Obi-Wan folded his arms in contemplation. He knew he could trust Usagi, and he wanted to trust Anakin. He'd been well behaved lately.]

All right, you can go.

[Maybe it was time to give Anakin a chance and give him a little more leash.]

But I want you both to check in with me regularly so I know what's going on.

[ Anakin watches his former mentor, but the reply he gets isn't quite what he has expected. So he blinks, but then literally grins. ]

Really? Thanks, Master.

And here I was, getting ready to bribe you.

[ He gives a short laugh and turns to open the fridge and take out another plate and place it in front of Obi-Wan.

There's a slice of pie on it. ]

Don't worry, I didn't make it. And neither did Qui-Gon.

[Not really thinking about it, Obi-Wan took another bite of the "food" and grimaced a little as he swallowed it.]

Bribe me? With wha-Oh no.

[Before Anakin can return with the pie, Obi-Wan is looking especially green around the gills. The Jedi then moving more quickly than he had in days as he jumped up from his seat and dashed for the nearest fresher.

Anakin's food decided to rebel. Much like its maker does.]

[ And Anakin finds himself faced with an Obi-Wan shaped empty space where his master has been just moments before.

He blinks once, then frowns down at the still full plate and sighs and steps out of the kitchen. Yet he refrains from entirely following the Jedi and instead simply calls out. ]

Does that mean, you want to eat the rest later?

[The only reply is the sound of retching from the little fresher. Really Anakin, why are you asking that. He will be glaring at you when he comes back out finally.]

[ And whenever that might be, Anakin will have cleared that plate and be eating away on the rest of what he's cooked.

Sorry, Obi-Wan. Anakin hasn't been raised to let food go to waste. Any food. If you ever find yourself nearly starving for days, you will understand. ]
